TAF Sling 2 LSA

The Sling 2 is a two seater, single engine, tricycle undercarriage aluminum aircraft with a conventional low wing design, manufactured by The Airplane Factory of Johannisburg, South Africa. The aircraft is based upon the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) CS-VLA (Certification Standard Very Light Aircraft) standard, having a maximum all up weight of 700kg. With only minor modifications to the aircraft and the application of a revised Pilot’s Operating Handbook the Sling may be made to comply with the requirements of the FAA Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) category.

Simon Smeiman has again done a marvellous job in copying this modern little aircraft from the real world to our FSX and Prepar3D worlds. As usual it sports a lot of 'Smeiman Animations', up to and including a fully functional emergency parachute !

Trento is on the very EDGE of the Dolomiti area and you'll have to fly east to find the famous Dolomiti mountain ranges. To the north you will find Bolzano (not included) and along the valley is the famous highway (Autostrada or Autobahn) towards the Brenner Pass and Austrian border. This is one of the main arteries of cargo traffic between northern Europe and Italy, and also the main pass for tourists in Summer.

Especially worth mentioning for the Trento scenery are the Mattarello airfield (LIDT) and the helipad TN003 at the northern edge of the scenery (see if you can find it!) ! The F-104 Starfighter gate guard i courtsey of Dario Bortot.
